Most of our installers are trained professionals who have worked with us for over 20 years. These are custom installers who have trained many other installers over the years and can handle any situation that may come up on a job. Our installers develop a wonderful rapport with our customers very quickly do to their great attitudes and craftmanship. They take pride in their work and it shows. They take a general interest in the customer and get to know them and make sure they have a nice experience. Many of our installers are doing jobs for people who have bought from us over ten years ago.
We give the customer a time and date for their installation. We offer then an a.m. time slot, which is between 8:30 and 9:30 a:m, or a pm slot, which would be between 12 noon and 2pm. We will set the date as much as six weeks out if the customer requests a certain day and we will not call because we will be there. We ask the customer to call us if they need to make a change. Time is important to people and we respect that and are on time 99.99% of the time. A call will be made if we have any sudden changes due to illness, etc. The time an installation takes will be determined by the size of the job and on large jobs we will break the job up into two or more days if needed at the customer's convenience. We would let the customer know that up front. The rest is up to the installers to do their job. They do not need any supervision. The job will be vacuumed, the furniture will be put back if the customer has it, and then the customer will be asked to look the job over to make sure they are satisfied.
For Carpet installations, we provide a pre-installation checklist on the back of customer receipts as well as discuss this during the selling process. For hard surface installations we will have to look at the existing floor before we can price labor for install of hard surfaces. We make it as easy as possible for the customer for all products with less stress for them. Planning ahead will make the job go much smoother with less inconvenience! The Installation I Am Most Proud Of was a job where a lady was terminally ill and had been in a hospital for many years. Her husband wanted to freshen her room up so we were called to put in her new carpet. The installers had to move her around in the bed to put the job in from side to side and as she apologized the whole time, they let her know that it was ok and they gave her words of comfort. They treated her like she was their own family member and her husband was overwhelmed by that. It isn't always about a big job that makes you proud of your your people and your company, it is one that makes people happy.
